Please let us know how she is feeling this morning. If she is still crying I would take her back to the vets. I have spayed/neutered over 25 dogs in the last 2 years and I didn't have any of them whimpering unless I picked them up. We also never used pain meds (had them if needed) but almost all of them came home and slept right through the night and the next day you could hardly tell they had surgery. Most of the time I had to slow them down .
