If he is limping it is really painful for him. I personally would not wait for surgery. I have had three pups who had this surgery (FHO) and they did very well. Two of my personal pups have had it as I mentioned in your other thread.

Personally, I had a board certified surgeon do mine ... be very careful who does this surgery. It is more expensive, but I don't have much trust in any surgeon doing such surgeries on my pups unless they are boarded. I met a lady one day whose pup had a sciatic nerve cut by a vet who did this surgery...that should never ever have happened. She was at the specialist hoping for some kind of fix....I don't know what the outcome was as I never saw her after that.
