Pretend you don't want Milou on the sofa. Make your "no, no" hand sign, and sign it sternly, along with an upset look on your face, immediately followed by removing him from the sofa. If he doesn't try to get back up on the sofa, then sign your "good boy", with a happy face, followed by petting. He will catch on to your signs, and you will catch on to his very quickly.
