Are you sure it isn't the humidity and intensity of the sun? I am up in Virginia and we have been waiting until 7 pm because for our evening walk. Even when the temperature isn't that high, the humidity has been stifling. In the mornings, my boys' tongues are hanging way out pretty quickly.
