I prefer shorter cuts for the most part, but your little guy is totally naked. Poor thing. Luckily it grows back! Jackson's first puppy cut was just a trim, and I did not brush him very good, so I know he had mats but they still didn't shave him
I keep my boy short, he's a bigger guy at 16lbs, so this cut just works for him. He's also very active. I never have to brush him (occasionally I'll brush his tail or mustache, but only once a week) and he gets professionally groomed every 8 weeks or so. Sometimes more in the summer.
