Ask the vet for a syringe. I used those to hand feed/ force feed mine when she skipped meals to keep her fed so she didn't get low blood sugar. It was easier than putting the food on the roof of her mouth with your finger. I had to do this off and on for 3 months. PM me if you need some suggestions.
