Whenever I feed sasha her kibble, she first looks at the bowl like she's too good for it and struts around for a while. After that, she'll mosey on over and dip her nose in the kibble, pushing it around, then bring her head out of the bowl and nudge the bowl with her nose. She does that repeatedly, dipping her head in and out (which looks hilarious!), and eventually picks up one kibble then drops it outside the bowl and nudges it around. She does this until she has a few kibbles out of the bowl in a semi-neat pile then eats them. Once she has those "chosen" kibbles eaten, she eats normally.
