Have they done an mri or ct? my understanding is that xrays only show hard tissue, and don't typically show things like herniated discs or pinched nerves. Does he have shooting pains and/or tingling/numbness or more of a constant ache?
My husband has a herniated disc. He's 29 and this is his 2nd. He had surgery on the 1st when he was 20. His issues are in his lower back he gets shooting pains in his leg and it goes numb when he walks.
I think I would look into finding another dr. or a specialist. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for him. To me it would be one thing for them to say this is whats wrong and theres nothing we can do for it. As much as I would hate to hear it I could understand that, but to tell him nothing is wrong when he's in pain is ridiculous especially when the pain started after a door fell on his neck. |
