I remember when I first moved to AZ and my first summer here. One day, I wanted to go out to the end of the driveway to grab the paper and OMG, my feet!!! ON FIRE! I ran/hopped so I wouldn't burn them and I could not even believe how much it hurt. I then realized the temp and DUH, hello.
The pavement/concrete/pavers etc get SO hot here in AZ in the summer. I see people carrying their dogs from their car into the vet, for example, so their paws don't touch the ground. It gets really bad.
