My baby got spayed last week. She is 6 mos old. and weighs 5lbs. The vet did keep her overnight (which I VERY reluctantly agreed to) to keep her quiet and resting. I picked her up the second they opened the next morning. She was still a bit sleepy and cuddled with me all day. The next day she was back to her normal self- they recover amazingly fast. Please don't second guess yourself. It is ABSOLUTELY the right thing to do if you are not intending on breeding her. Her cancer risk drops drastically now that she is spayed!!
