What a grand story. Although it concerns we this dog could get out repetitive nights/afternoons to visit that old man.

She did a wonderfull thing. Having cared for two parents with Alzheimers disease, I elected not to get any animals, until after they were both in care facilities. How-ever I did in 2006 begin to own dogs again; and brought my young male into the care home.

He was wonderfull and both Dad and Mom who had owned animals most of their lives, loved to pet him; and what of the many things that was heartbreaking first Dad didn't know his wife of 50 yrs and then Mom didn't know Dad, and of course both didn't really know me for a long time. But what I found was that they always knew love. They knew I loved them, and they felt safe with me. Mom used to call me Dearie, and very often used the phrase "hurry up Dearie" I want to have that ice cream, see the flowers, or pet that dog. Dad would call me sweetie. He was never in a hurry to get anywhere, but was determined to "get" anywhere he wanted to go.

Sometimes Mom or Dad would actually recognize me, and say Gail when can I go home. I feel well now.

I breaking up inside would say; Not right now. There are still some things to be done, and tests to be had. I will see you tomorrow.

And tomorrow, well was just another day.
