Default Upset Yorkie

Well, I did something different yesterday.

I am retired, and normally if I am not with Sadie, I take her to my parents. It is her second home, and she loves it there.

My parents spent a 7 hour day with me, away from home, and I put Sadie in the laundry room, which is quite roomy.
I have a gate in the doorway, so she does not feel so enclosed.

Normally, if I am just gone for a few hours, she has the run of the house, but for some reason, I feel better confining her when I am gone for longer periods of time.

I decided to leave the tape recorder run for one hour.
My Dad said, oh, she will be fine and will just sleep.
She is three years old.

When I got home, I listened to the one-hour tape, and my heart just ached. She is not a barker, so for one hour
she whined, and panted heavily, which is probably not very
healthy. I did leave the radio on for her. I have never heard her whine, (I have had her for 11 months), but she pants heavily if she senses I am going to leave.

Now I don't ever want to leave her alone again. She is just too spoiled I guess.

Does anyone else have problems with leaving their Yorkies alone? Have you ever made a video of them while you were gone or used a tape recorder?

Just curious, thanks.
