I travel with Bella frequently. She would rather be on my knee than in her bag so I do give her something to help keep her quiet. It does not knock her out but just makes her a little sleepy. This is what my vet gave me....acepromazine 1/2 of a 10mg. Tablet 2 hours before she flies. Bella weighs 7 pounds. I tested it on her before I flew...first only giving her half of the recommended dose to see how she would react, then a few days later the recommended dosage. She needed the full dose.
