Default Green Goop in Eyes

Okay, for about 5 days now, Jackson has been getting green goop in his eyes. Not like 24/7 but mostly in the mornings. It's green-ish in color and goopy. I've been using a warm towel to get it out in the AM's.

He always will have the normal eye crusty every once in a while but this is just nasty goopy.

Does green always = infection? We have a vet appt. in 45 mins, but wanted your opinions or if you had experienced before.

I was originally thinking allergies, due to pollen (which has been very bad), etc, and about a month ago, he was sneezing a lot and doing a gagging noise (after his dental, so thought it was from that). Vet listened and said it sounded like allergies. She told me to get him chlorpheniramine over the counter. Well, I never did because the issue just went away about 10 days after his dental. lol. But I went by store yesterday and bought some and gave him 4mg (one pill) of it to see if it helps. He woke up this morning with only a little bit, but it was still green.

It was mostly just his right eye at first, now it's both.

Nothing else seems irritated, it doesn't seem to be bothering him, I lifted up his eye and it does seem a tad red, but I'm not really sure what's normal or not.

Anyway, we're headed out soon, and I'll tell you what the vet says. Just wanted to know if anyone else went thru it.
