Congratulations on your new puppy. I agree with everyone above that he might just be adjusting to his new home. Glad to hear you have a vet appointment for a puppy wellness check.
When I brought Max home, he didn't drink or eat for many hours until I discovered that he didn't like the plastic travel bowls. As soon as I offered him water in a stainless steel dish, he drank. You may try different bowls or even paper plates for the kibble. Try hand feeding a kibble at a time too. I had to play a lot of games with Max his first year.
