Similar happened over here.....
My daughter was about 9 years old at the time.....I too heard our front door slam, I semi-woke up (as you do!) and ran to a front window - and there was Anna hot-footing it
out of our Close, towards the 'main' road, with her pj's and her brother's Caterpillar boots on....
I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life - thank God I heard her, and that she's still here to tell the tale (that she doesn't remember....
