I am going to clarify again, for most of the common problems of Yorkies there is NO true genetic test available - exception is PRA (a) genetic test.
Second exception is hyperuricosuria, and another one for the bladder kidney.

The more correct question is did the breeder do breed specific pre breeding tests and one of which is brucellosis.

There is NO genetic test for LP, HD, ED, LS, MVD and CT.

What good breeders do and the very best they can do is to screen their breeding pairs for the above to insure they are clear of it. Also to know their lines, and reported health concerns with-in those lines.

Good breeders will always keep in touch with their puppy owners for at least the first 3yrs, preferably 5 years as many diseases/problems don't rear their head within the first 12 months.

Good breeders who find a problem in their breeding pair be it 5 or even 6 years down the line, will contact their puppy owners of that litter to say, this is what happened. Have your dog screened for this problem or that problem.
