I would have his back legs x-rayed to see if the bones are straight or bowed. If they are bowed, he has a big chance at tearing a ligament or dislocating the knee cap and his playtime should be limited, and not jumping or changing directions quickly when running. I have two that's had knee surgery and is very common in Yorkies.
