All good ideas here, especially Nutrical. Have a couple pee pads, and yes paper towels, wash cloth or wipies, cause it is common for them to throw up and potty due to nervousness during the drive. I don't think I'd push too much food right before the trip, as that can make them car sick too.

If it were my pup, and such a short travel time, I'd put him in the crate or carrier for safety, and I don't think a collar or harness or leash is necessary for the short trip. It might make him more nervous.

I'm assuming this is a new pup without vaccinations, so do NOT put him down outside anywhere to potty, etc. until a month after all vaccinations are complete. He could easily become infected with parvo, which is life threatening.
