What do you guys recommend I bring with me? So far I'm bringing:
- a plastic carrier with comfty mat inside
-collar with tag
-harness
-leash
-a chew toy and a plush toy
-a blanket
-water
The trip will be a little less than a half hour should I bring a small container with kibble? How about Nutrical?
Also since he is pee pad train would he be able to just pee outside before I put him in the car. I plan to pee pad train him and someone told me that I should just take a peepad with me and set it on my lap in case of an accident.
Also with all the excitement I might forget so can you guys reccomend any questions I should ask the breeder?
- for example what kind of food he eats and how many times a day (I already know what he eats btw). |
The breeder should definitely tell you what he's been feeding your puppy. Mine gave me a small bag of kibble to take home with me. I had an hour drive with my Bella. She rode in a carrier on my partner's lap, and she was a real trooper. For safety, your puppy should ride inside the carrier. I put a soft towel on the bottom of mine and put a plush toy inside. She did not pee on the way home. If your breeder has him pee just before you pick him up, he should be fine for the ride home. Nutrical would be good to have on hand, but hopefully you won't need it.
