Hi everyone. Just got back from the hospital. No new news either way really. Her numbers are holding their own. She did acknowledge me and everyone else all day long even though she was drugged out of her gord. She smiled at all of us several times. She watched some videos on my mom's iPhone. He puckered up as if to give a kiss to my great niece (her niece). All in all..the day would be classified as "stable". She is still fighting that infection and still has a fever but it came down a little bit over the evening hours.
She is super swollen. Looks like she's gonna pop out of her skin. She was like this as a baby when she was first diagnosed. It's caused by malnutrition. They had problems with her feeding "button" (it's a port she had put in in 2009 in her belly). They fixed that and are going to start feeding her thru it tomorrow. Praying that helps with the swelling - my sister and I really think they are linked.
