Working is not an issue. It would be if this puppy is less than 12 weeks. Which, by the way, my coworker just brought home a 5 week old puppy. It has worked out fine so far. Her main issue is biting. That's more due to the age at which she was seperated from her mom and littermates. She is not traumatized and is adjusting fine although there are challenges. At 13 weeks, your baby will be much better prepared to be on her own. I know you don't trust anyone with her, but what about your mom or brothers checking in on her to make sure she's clean, has water, and food but not remove her from her pen. I don't fully trust my parents either, but they make sure Kaji has a clean piddle pad and water before they leave for the day. (I leave at 7:30 they leave 10 am and 1 PM)

When you get home, it's baby's time. Playtime, basic obedience, trick training, etc. this will give you a tired baby at night. If you can do the same before work, she'll nap all day. Most of our babies nap all day while we are at work.
