Okay so Mitsi is My 3 1/2 year old spayed furbaby. Shes had anal gland issues since She was 8 months old. Usually I have to take her to Our vet and get them expressed once a month, until this month. Shes had them expressed 2 times this month, about a week apart except for when Shes going today its been a week and a half. The vet wants to do an anal gland infusion (at the price tag of 150$) to see whats going on in there and to pack the glands with antibiotics (another 100$). Ive never heard of this procedure. Im not sure what to think on all this. My poor baby hates the vet and I dont like the idea of them putting Her to sleep for something else because I know the risks. Shes on Blue Buffalo dry Dog food small breed right now and I have no switched Her food. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions or had the anal gland infusion done before?
