Animal Smiley 049 Barking and aggression

Hi yorkietalk members,
My little Sophia is 2 1/2. She is house trained and is easy to care for, love her so much. We are having a consistent issue with her barking at people and dogs that walk past my home, on our walks out. Her barking continues for ~ 2-3 minutes and she is extremely hyperactive during these episodes where she scratches the walls, ignores my voice/commands, and claws on the blinds. We have gone through obedience training. I try the water bottle, rewards with good behavior and so far.. nothing. My friend suggests a bark collar and I am unsure of the risks/benefits. I thought of reaching out to other yorkie owners before I take that route. I am having surgery soon and would love to have Sophia's barking better controlled so that I can rest through the night. Thanks!!!!!
