After the first few times I used a piece of sew in liner to put over the top. Came off on that too. |
Dawn, I understand your frustration. For my daughter's first Christmas I made her a red velvet and white lace dress with quilted white pantaloons. I put over 20 yards of white lace on that tiny garment. Dummy me - the outfit had to be dry cleaned and there wasn't a guarantee that the velvet wouldn't fade. We got lucky, she only wore it for pics - the outfit was heavy and she hated it. In fact she would cry when she saw me getting it out.
I bet your little outfits are cute. If the color bleeds, you might not be able to do anything at this point but chalk it up as a learning experience. I know how frustrating it can be. I don't like using the glittery cotton fabric. I always forget to turn the iron down and scorch the fabric.
