Soft gel directions are: 1 soft gel for every 20 lbs & 1 soft gel = 150mg EPA/90mg DHA. Half of that for a 10lb dog would be 75mg EPA/45mg DHA. So the soft gel dosage instructions contain considerably less omegas than the liquid. The ingredients seem the same...anchovy oil, sardine oil & d-alpha tocopherol. But the soft gels also contain water & glycerin. So why is it that they suggest feeding a higher dosage of omegas depending on the product? Am I reading the instructions/ingredients incorrectly? Or is my math totally wrong? I'm so confused Did I buy the wrong one? |
I see what you're saying about the values you mentioned not being the same but they're very close so I wouldn't worry about it... Also, the dosages don't seem to be different to me...the liquid is 15%/9% and the soft gels are 10%/6%...same ratio of DHA to EPA but more dilute in the soft gels (someone correct me if I'm way off). Are you saying that you have to give more of the soft gel than the liquid? Because that would make sense based on the values. You're going to get the same results using either product if you follow the instructions for the appropriate weight. And no, you didn't get the wrong one

I remember being the in store debating between the soft gels and liquid and just went with the soft gels because they were more convenient for me.
