My friend, you eeeeeekkkked out of that trap by the skin of your teeth! I would imagine what actually happened was she was offered more money for the pup than you were offering....and who knows, the pup that died may very well have been the one you were going to get....which means it was sick and it died before she could get it gone! Just letting you in on some very well known tricks "breeders" use......
