well i can tell you i got lola at 4 1/2 years old and for the first 6 months or so she was with me she had to be expressed monthly, bi monthly. it was stress from a new home, sibling dogs she didnt trust yet and not yet trusting us. so i realize you have a puppy but maybe its the stress of the new home environment causing this. i hope other will chime in...i just know once lola trusted and became more comfortable in our home we havent had to have them expressed by the vet like in the beginning......
