I'm sure things will get better. One thing we did when we brought a new baby home was to lay him (I say him because we have 7 sons) on the floor and unwrap him so the dogs could come and really check him out. We let them do pretty much whatever they wanted, with us supervising closely of course. After that they knew the baby was part of the family and that they were not off limits or anything like that. The dogs got very attached to the kids and were very protective of the kids. They became THEIR kids. That's what we have done and what has worked for us. We also did not try to keep the dogs away from the baby in any way. We also didn't push the dogs to do anything different, nor did we push them away ever. They never had any resentment towards the kids.
