Default Dogs and Public Transportation

Anyone take public transportation with their yorkies?
After 2 months of taking the local public transit with my puppy with no problems, i get a driver today that decides to be anal about the rules. Evidently, I had to have a muzzle on bunjee in order to take him onto the bus. there can only be one dog per bus. dogs can only allowed during non-rush hour traffic hours. AND a fare is required equal to my fare (1 adult: $1.50, so $3 for the both of us).

mind you, we had been walking a while and bunjee was passed out asleep in my arm when i carried him onto the bus and the bus driver told me he needed a muzzle because he might bite.

i understand that the rules exist for the protection of all passengers, but that particular driver was just mean and nasty with a lotta attitude. she reacted as if the 5lb sleeping puppy in my arm is some sort of vicious dieased beast and i was stupid or something. i hate holier than thou attitudes. i made a comment commending the driver for protecting the shoe laces of all passengers and walked off the bus and took a taxi instead. it costed me an extra $2. silly me for wanting to be more environmentally conscience by taking public transport.

okay... i just needed to vent. thanks for reading.
