Hailey was on Prednisone( corticosteroid) for a month due to a compressed disk in her neck. The vet said that bloating was normal while on prednisone but a month later after being off of it she was still bloated. I took her in for some blood work(which came back normal)and they ran X-rays on her stomach and it showed she had trapped air in there. He put her on Metoclopramide 5 mg to see if it helps.He said it should help food move faster and reduce gas.It's been a week and her belly is still large. Has any of your dogs experienced this after being on prednisone? If so did anything help relieve the gas in the stomach?Any products at the pet store perhaps? I'll be taking her back to the vet on Tuesday though and let him know.
