My baby boys have all bits included lol. I feel the same in the way of been scared by the operation, also my mams yorkie Benji was done for medical reasons and he has changed, not for the better either, he used to be a lovely friendly dog now he is really grumpy, isolates himself, gained weight even tho he doesnt eat more than before, and something that I hear a lot but the other way on he never used to mark indoors now he does, all my boys don't mark in the house and never have, this is just my experience. |
There are reasons for not allowing intact boys AND girls at dog parks. I'll share with you my most memorable experience. Being an uneducated first time pet owner, I took Kaji to the doggy park 4 weeks after his neuter. Not knowing it can take longer than that for his manly urges to go away, I let Kaji roam freely. Unbeknownst to me, there was a female morkie IN HEAT at the dog park. Kaji immediately started courting her. Kaji kept all the other dogs away from this little girl, almost got into a few fights, and kept trying all his slick moves. That behavior is not Kaji. He would never in a million years pick fights. He's so friendly and always wants to say hi to every dog he meets. I had no idea what was going on, until the morkie's dad yelled at me to keep my dirty minded boy away from his little princess. Didn't I know she was in heat?!?!
So... No intact dogs at the dog park please! Mostly because some people lack better judgement and common sense.
