I agree with EVERYTHING mimimomo has said!
As far as healthy treats, simple as cut up veggies or fruits will do. I give mine cucumber, carrot, watermelon, tomato, green beans. Even hard boiled egg (not the whole thing just a few bits). But remember do NOT give onion, garlic, or any cousin of those including green onion, scallions, shallots, etc. NO grapes or raisins either. They are toxic to dogs.

About those store bought treats. They have a lot of preservatives in them to be able to sit on shelves for so long. Also look at the ingredients. If it says something like "meat", but not specifically saying what kind such as beef, chicken, lamb, etc, that is a big red flag. Also do give any treats made in China. Many many recalls, and many pet deaths!
