I would go a step farther and say the BEST, most conclusive way to tell a larger Yorkie from a smaller Silky, would be a DNA test.  If you have a breed standard, classic Yorkie, and a breed standard classic Silky, you can see the differences clearly.....but with our adorable Teapot Yorkies, that clear standard difference is blurred.  And a reptuable breeder will not mind at all if you were to suggest you want to DNA your baby!.......unless they have something to hide...........?
