There are ditches with currents and there are without. The one were I was last time is one without current
I've seen the ones with current and they look scary for a small dog.
I already bought him a life jacket to be on the save side
I've seen other small dogs swimming where I'll be going so it seems save for small dogs, but I think I'll keep him on his flexi leash until he gets more experience
