But I've never heard of a regular harness causing issues with the patellas? Either way, one needs to train their dog not to pull, and using a collar or harness shouldn't be an issue. I prefer a harness because I feel he's more secure, and I also like the safety aspect of being able to pick him up by his harness if needed (and he's a big boy, at 16lbs) and I still can easily hover him up if needed.

I wouldn't necessarily judge a breeder on the fact that they use collars, a lot of breeders use slip leads, which goes around the neck.
My dad some times likes to think a harness is a handle lol
