Rats scare me to death. I have encountered big ones walking around on the sidewalks of DC and Chicago.
Although the black snakes here are harmless, they still make me jump. I was picking up sticks in one of our stand of trees in the yard once when one of the big sticks started slithering. Of course, I screamed and ran like an idiot.  |
I know, the internet is pretty amazing, but I'm not ever sure if what they say is a fact, unless I learned it in school! Well, at least the snake should take care of all the rats, and they say if you can get a safe snake to do that, it will keep the poisonous snakes away because no food for them. So, having a black snake might be a lucky thing!
