They are rectangular in shape rather than square they have longer muzzles and their coat doesnt grow as long as a yorkie. It can be almost impossible to tell some larger yorkies from silkys since the yorkies have been overbred and bred outside of the standard. It is common for peoplee to tell someone that their bigger yorkie is a silky its even happened with mine. Thats why its important to buy AKC dogs because you know you have a pure bred and get a pedigree so you know both parents are yorkies also a reputable breeder that you can trust.
