Default I've Found The One!

Well, I know I posted a week or so back that I got in touch with our previous pup's breeder and unfortunately, she got back to me a few days ago saying she won't be expecting a litter until next year. However, she knew of a competitive groomer & breeder in the Staten Island area who had puppies but she wasn't sure if any were left.

I took the information anyways.

I just so happened to be in Staten Island today (unusual, I hardly ever go back) and on my way home (I was one exit from going over the bridge back to NJ) I decided to hop off the exit and take a ride over to the woman's grooming salon to see if by any chance she had any puppies left.

It was a nice place at first glance, pictures all over the place of customers and their fur babies. The owners at the front desk were helping a customer and a boxer at first so I waited.

I looked to my left and there was windowed wall and behind it a little luxurious cage with a little sleeping puff of black fur. I looked above it and saw, "Yorkie Puppy For Sale, Last One"

He moved a little, & then proceeded to awaken and when I tell you his face was beyond precious... He yawned and looked at me and I could swear him waving his paw was his "hello" to me.

I waved, turned to the owners and said, "Is he available?" (didn't know he was a male, but it's what came out lol) and they said "Yes, he is. Would you like to play with him?"

OF COURSE!

The actual owner/breeder came out from the back to greet me, handed me some sanitizer and she said "he's the last one. his siblings were all tiny and no one wanted one his size." All I could think of was, "This is perfect. We're looking for a bigger guy! Anything under 6lbs is too small for our household." And she smiled. She replied, handing him to me, he went straight for my face and covered me with kisses, "Looks like this is a perfect match."

What an absolute sweetheart. He couldn't get enough of me. He licked my face and nibbled my nose a bit. He is such a love bug...and playful!

I almost cried, I must admit. I haven't felt like that since I had my Max.

So I told the woman about Max and what a great dog he was. I told her how he passed in February and low and behold, this little guy was born three days after Max crossed over & had the same birthday as him (Max was May 25th and this guy is February 25th). Her eyes welled up.

Safe to say, I am over the moon right now. I'm taking my parents with me tomorrow to meet him and bring him home (my father tends to be the animal whisperer of the family, so he says if he is really perfect, he'll love him lol).

I can't wait to fully introduce the little one to you all!

Here's some pictures I took while meeting him
