Do you take him to a groomer, or do you trim him yourself? I plan to keep my pup's hair pretty short (puppy cut), especially in the warm weather, and I am wondering how difficult it is to do a decent trim job myself, even if only between regular groomings.
I take him to a groomer. He's too wiggley lol. I shave his ears between visits and his bum too, because he seems to be prone to dingleberries. He was horrible to just do that for. But I did notice he was fine after his first visit, much calmer and did not put up much fuss. Personally I think I would if I wanted to groom on my own, take a dog several times to a professional so they are used to things, before I started to do it on my own.

There is a wonderful groomer in town that grooms and boards small dogs only and she's a yorkie owner too. This was just his second visit, he last went in March. It was wonderful to walk in the door and have her call him immediately by name. She loves what she does and loves her clients.
