Yes if it's thin than it will get shaded in soon, the dip is a strong liquid put into water. Then you dip the dog in for a few mins and let the chemicals get into the hair follicle. It's very strong so the dogs may throw up, get dizzy. I saw the shading in within 3 days, also I left the shampoo on for 10 mins before the dip.
