My pooch is 4-1/2 lbs and the pipette is for dogs up to 23 lbs. It seems reasonable a reasonable course of action to me. I called Frontline (Merial) and they said OH NO!!! So naturally I asked why. The rep said it had only been tested for 23 lbs. Again...I asked why. Well...'because that's what they did.' Argh.

This is exactly how I do it! I buy frontline in the larger dog dosage and split it up between all 5 of my dogs and 4 cats. 2 of my dogs are smaller than my cats so I give them smaller doses. My vet ok'd it,, gave me the right doses, it saves money, and no fleas or ticks.
