He may just be working on his communication skills. Huey makes different soft noises for different things, from whines to squeaks to mmmwwwwwfff to even just sitting next to your ear and smacking loudly. He gets louder when ignored, but the little sounds are cute. Cruz may just be learning how to talk, like a child, so it make take a while for him to figure out how to tell you things. Right now he is at the point uhh uhh uhh stage.
