Mine don't either! Mini rarely goes out, she sits in the window but she has never been a big fan of the outside world...she's also allergic to everything in it...so it works....Mia could care less, they are my house dogs, they romp, play, they are so dang cute. So anyway, they don't go out often...not overprotective unless she's begging to go out???
