The first week was the hardest because Callie (my yorkie) did not want water, food, to go pee or to poo and even on two pain meds and a pain patch you could still tell she was in some pain. I cried when I had to come home the night of her surgery with out her. Its hard but if its an actual specialist he should be in great hands. I will keep your little guy in my prayers and I hope it helps.
