Default My Yorkie is sick!!So confused!!

Hi everyone I am new to the forum and would like some advice as to how to help my Yorkie Moka. He is 3 years old and was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with intestinal lymphangiectasia. He started with diarrhea and vomiting and a horrible honking cough we brought him to the vet and after ultrasounds, xrays and blood tests they confirmed this diagnosis. He is currently taking 5mg of prednisone twice a day and .15ml of cyclosporine. His food has changed to Royal Canine low fat diet. I would like to know if anyone else has a Yorkie with this disease and how they are feeding their Yorkie. I heard you can also supplement with homemade food but my vet doesn't seem too knowledgeable in this area other than to recommend the low fat dog food. He seems to be better in that he has stopped his diarrhea ,cough or choking sound gone and has vomited only once but he seems tired, and is very thirsty and cannot control his bladder very well, which is a side effect of prednisone. Any advice would be helpful !!!!!Thank You
