Hehe thanks guys! The crazy thing is, is that I almost couldn't have him neutered! This was the fourth vet I've been to. I haven't been satisfied with the vets I have seen.
The vet I went to before this one, did the pre op blood work and told me that he had a freakishly high BUN and that she suspected kidney disease! I was crushed..but I had him retested at another vet, and this other vet looked into it and apparently there is a phenomenon called "the evil yorkie BUN thing", where some yorkies have high BUNs and no actual health problems.
Anyway, they retested him and his BUN was normal and no sign of kidney problems so they neutered him! Was a very good day for me when I found out he most likely did not have kidney disease =) |
