I don't know if this will help you, but sedation for tests is really not all that bad. I have had so many pups tested and operated on with multiple medical issues. I don't know what Daisy has; but I would trust my vet if they said it was safe to do.

I had a pup with AAI, hydrocephalus, subarachnoid cysts, syringomyelia, chiari and other things that defied anything I have ever seen. In one year he had four operations that were emergency in nature and he had a dental. He was fine after each procedure. I don't think any pup could have a whole lot more than that! Sedation with an up to date veterinarian is very safe.
