The license also helps pay for necessary animal control services. It’s too bad, that your city finds it has to get tough, but the only reason they are doing this is that too many people don’t follow the law! I think your mad at the wrong people. |
I can see your point also Nancy but is just seem a bit exptreme to me. I agree that yes pet owners need to be responsible and see to it that their dogs are proberly taged, but there are other ways to go about it. I understand the part about paying fees for animal control and safety reasons, I get that. I do my part and always have. It goes hand in hand in being a responsible dog owner. Maybe I should be more angry about those who dont pay, but I just cant seem to get past all the other stuff.

Me too in some aspects. There are so many different way of looking at this situation and how to intemperate it. There are good things about it and there are bad things about it. Im just grateful that we are able to provide for our pups daily needs and aren't one of those families who pups are being taken from their homes.
If they dont have the money to purchase food or basic necessities in todays economy than they aren' t going to be able to afford tags or the pound fees that are accessed either. They have only three days to pay or they are forced to forfeit their animals. Somehow that dont seem quit right to me. What is it were me and the tables were turned and tomorrow my DH lost his job. Which is very possible and I had to choose between spending $76 on tags or buying food for my dogs and my family for the next week. I doesn't seem like a hard choice to make to me . .
It's just a very sad situation no matter how you look at it !
