You should get a BRT! While they require the same amount of training and constant socialization, they can do very well with 40-50 minutes a day of walk time. They were bred to be with humans in the guard and protect mode. Traditionally they do not have a huge prey drive, but a huge protect drive. They are usually good with other animals, dogs, cats, parrots, etc in their home. These animals quite quickly become part of their pack!

What is a BRT? You've piqued my curiousity! Sorry I should know right? I googled it and got Black Russian Terrier. Is that right?
Hows the maintenance on them? Grooming and such? I wanted a breed that needed less maintenance.
Part of me might go back and get a German Short Haired pointer someday. I had one growing up and he was our boy! He was just an amazing dog all around. A lot of energy though.
